Mr.
King’s primary area of practice includes civil litigation with a heavy
emphasis in insurance defense. Mr. King has extensive civil litigation
experience in federal and state courts in Kentucky as well as state
administrative agencies. Mr. King has served as a law clerk to U.S.
District Judge Thomas Russell in Paducah, KY (1997-1999) and an assistant
McCracken Commonwealth’s Attorney (2002-2003). He currently serves as a
hearings officer for the Department of Juvenile Justice and was recently
appointed as a commissioner for the Paducah Human Rights Commission. Mr.
King earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of
Law (1997) and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of
Kentucky Martin School of Public Administration (1997). He graduated from
Emory University with a B.A. in political science (1989). Prior to
attending law school, Mr. King served on the legislative staff of U.S.
Senator Wendell Ford in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Kentucky
Bar Association and McCracken County Bar Association (Treas. 2000-2001),
and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western
District of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth
Circuit.
